Bonfire Night and a Magical Christmas

November 5, 2011 marks the 406th anniversary of that fateful day in 1605 when Guy Fawkes and his 12 merry (insane) men planned to blow Parliament to smithereens! Fortunately for us, they were stopped in their tracks when Fawkes was caught with 36 barrels of gunpowder under the House of Lords. Ever since then bonfires light up the night skies across the UK every year on the 5th November to mark the failed attempt which could have been a terrible tragedy! As an event organiser I often get asked the questions, “do you know of a great venue or restaurant, that has a beautiful ambience, for my wedding or birthday but that won’t break the bank?”. With the economic situation as it is at the moment, more and more people have started looking into hiring a marquee for their back garden or transforming their home into a magical location to create that perfect vibe for their next celebration.
