Bonfire Night and a Magical Christmas

November 5, 2011 marks the 406th anniversary of that fateful day in 1605 when Guy Fawkes and his 12 merry (insane) men planned to blow Parliament to smithereens! Fortunately for us, they were stopped in their tracks when Fawkes was caught with 36 barrels of gunpowder under the House of Lords.

Ever since then bonfires light up the night skies across the UK every year on the 5th November to mark the failed attempt which could have been a terrible tragedy!
