“Be a guest at your own simcha”. This is a line, I’d heard many times over the last 2 years. But is that really possible? Idit Ginsberg / Dash of Sparkle proved that it is absolutely the case! From the moment we engaged with Idit, a year before our simcha, I knew we had made the right decision. Want a recommendation from Idit? (sparkly dancefloor? Photobooth?), she has the contacts. Want to bring in your own entertainer / decorations etc?, then not a problem – Idit will work with them all happily. Idit was always at the end of the phone when we needed her, responded to emails within minutes sometimes (We REALLY valued this), and was able to offer help, support and guidance with all of our plans. In the run up to the big day, we had reminders from Idit about things we need to think about, things we hadn’t considered and advice about the small touches that make the day. Days beforehand Idit took all of our ‘things’ – table plan, gifts for best friend speeches, kippot, menu cards, novelties and t-shirts which meant we didn’t have to think about these things again – certainly less things to remember to bring on the big day. Our floorplan and timing plan were put together by Idit. She liaised between the venue, caterer, DJ, table decorations, entertainers, and other suppliers to ensure they all knew what was going on. Last minute seating plan change? Best friend speeches, require a video / song? None of this was an issue, we simply directed everything and everyone towards Idit. On the day itself, Idit worked tirelessly for 12 hours, ensuring that the venue looked perfect – we literally turned up for photos at 4pm, with all of the work done. Her attention to detail was superb. Behind the scenes, she ensured the name cards were laid out, the speech presents were in the right place, the toilets had little baskets of pot pouri/plasters/mints/even cans of deodorant!, the timing plan was followed, whilst all the time liaising between the caterer and the DJ. We didn’t need to clock-watch once. She prepared the novelties, handed out t-shirts…I could go on and on….. Idit is not one of these party planners that stands in the middle of the dancefloor shouting orders – she gets on with her job effectively in the background. Most of our guests wouldn’t have even known she was there. Idit was always in the right place at the right time. We are so glad that we used Dash of Sparkle for our event. Would thoroughly recommend Idit for any simcha.
